Toyota Mid Flange Exhaust Gasket

The BEAMS and JZ both have the same header mid flange pattern with 3 bolts and two exhaust holes about 2" (50mm) diameter(except the JZS 155 Crown 2JZ). Predominantly they all have the same problem when run hard, the gasket blows out. We've made our all new exhaust MLS gaskets from laser cut stainless and then embossed a raised seal profile around each port to accommodate for flange deviations. We make our gaskets in a 2 layer and 4 layer version. The 2 layer version works well if your flanges only have minor deviations to account for. The 4 layer version will be more applicable if you've welded up your own exhaust and the flanges haven't quite stayed as flat as OE or you just want the extra sealing ability of the 4 layers. It's also common for over torqued factory flanges to have bent bolting ears that cause a bad face mating issue.
