These nice billet brackets and quality Wilwood dual piston calipers do the job extremely well in a tight and tidy package.

Bracket/Caliper Installation and ABS Sensor

Installation does require cutting the dust shield for caliper and bracket clearance as well as removal of one of the mounting studs from the backing plate to install a new bolt for the new bracket. It's two bolts to mount the bracket and two bolts for the caliper.

Our kit does allow the use of the factory ABS sensor, it's tight, but it works.

Bracket Material and Hardware

The brackets are CNC'd from 6061 T6 billet and annodized to protect the metal. All the hardware is plated metric steel.

Parking brake and Factory Caliper

It definitely took more engineering to wrap the bracket over and find a way to secure everything with proper strength tucked in such a tight area and retain the parking brake. It might look simple now that it's done, but compare it to the other guys who made it easy on themselves by removing all the factory components to make it happen and maybe it wasn't so easy. A lot of us like a parking brake and the factory brake caliper is actually a nice two piston design, so why remove it all? Our kit is the least intrusive to factory components.

Mounting position

The caliper is properly located with the bleed screw facing up as the high point. Some kits have the caliper sitting directly on top, this is incorrect to properly bleed the brake system as it traps air in the pistons.

Calipers and Pads

We use the two piston Wilwood caliper. It's a lightweight aluminum caliper that can be fitted with a good high bite brake pad that reduces the effort required on the hydro handbrake. They're high quality and readily available, we keep them in stock along with the pads. The calipers are sold individually, so you'll need to order a quantity of two.

The brake pads are sold as a set for two calipers, so only one set is required to do both sides of the car.

Brake line kit

We make our line kits in house from domestic brand -3 lines specifically to fit the the Wilwood calipers and our brackets. The braided lines have a protective coating and bridge from caliper to caliper in the rear with no threaded unions and junction to a single line forward. This is for stand alone drift brakes only, not inline hydros. This kit is not for DOT applications.

Hydro mounts

We offer two hydro mounts. The first hides under the dash. To run the under dash mount, you will need to mount a remote reservoir to feed the hydro master as well as cut a slot in the console cover plastic if you want to retain the trim panels.

The second hydro mount bolts to the right side of the transmission tunnel and works with standard reservoir type master cylinders.

Both hydro mounts are designed to work with our hydro kits. The mounts are steel and can be drilled for other hydros.

XM Hydros

For the under dash mount we use our horizontally mounted hydro with a 5/8" master. This requires a remote reservoir to be fitted to feed the master.

The transmission tunnel side mount hydro can be a reservoir type to make installation easy and clean, we use a 5/8" master.

Both hydro's have a 1" stainless steel handle thats easy to grab and is 18" tall. They're simple, effective and always look good!
